Synopsis: 

Mud, movement, tradition and electronic soundscapes based on the man-nature binomial.

Passages that reflect upon our own existence; that clash and reconcile natural elements with a rootless present.

Socarrel digs into the origins of traditional culture and interprets a modern version of its bond with the essential elements of traditional rituals, which are nowadays stirred up in a world full of aimless priorities.

Tragedy and reconstruction

The performance is a scream for consciousness, for contemplation of everything that we understand as otherworldly; a reference to the present reality where everything intangible needs urgent attention in order to restore a respectful, balanced and organic relationship with nature.

Socarrel emerges from the fusion of movement, electronic music and traditional polyphony all provided by the experimental, curious and innovative essence of Roberto Olivan, the complicity of dancer and creator Magí Serra, the traditional Occitan polyphonic music of Vox Bigerri, the Belgian electro-acoustic musician Laurent Delforge and the collaboration of ceramist Joan Panisello.
